Hi there! I am an independent photojournalist currently based in the suburbs of Metro Detroit, Michigan. I’m drawn to layered storytelling that develops through observation and time. My work is guided by careful attention to light and detail. I photograph a range of stories from human-interest to science-related stories, often engaging with issues relevant to the current news cycle. I’m especially drawn to stories of resilience, whether expressed through people, communities, or the systems that shape daily life.
I recently achieved my M.S. in Photography degree from S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. Previous to graduate school, I received my B.A. in Journalism and the Arts in the Humanities with a specialization in visual communications from Michigan State University.
