2020 Presidential Election

My first full year of freelancing in Michigan overlapped with the 2020 presidential election. Being in a swing state, there were numerous opportunities to document different aspects of the election around in the state. I contributed consistent political coverage for Reuters and Bloomberg in months leading up in the months to the election and then working for Bloomberg on Election Day. I was also fortunate to have a few political related assignments for The New York Times including Joe Biden’s visit to Toledo, Ohio back in October 2020. All of my experiences leading up to 2020, including working at the newspaper in Lynchburg for a year, prepared me for these opportunities.
