2016 Presidential Election

During my junior year of college, I worked at my school newspaper The State News at Michigan State University. Through the paper, I was able to cover my first significant political events leading up to the election including a campaign visit from Bernie Sanders to East Lansing prior to the election. I went on to intern at Benzinga in Detroit where I was also able to report and photograph from the Republican National Convention in Cleveland. These experiences I had early on in my career helped me learn a lot about the nature of photographing in different kinds of political environments.
